📜 Developer Terms

Last updated: October 12, 2026. Plain English, no gotchas — this is the deal for publishing on Playblin.

A note from the founder: Playblin exists for the creators who can't afford to wait — the mom building with AI to pay the bills, the dev stuck in a review queue. These terms are written to protect that mission: your game stays yours, the split stays fair, and the rules stay readable.

1. The deal

Publishing on Playblin is free. There are no listing fees, no subscriptions, and no paywalls between you and players.

When your game earns money, the split is 90/10: you keep 90%, Playblin keeps 10%, calculated after payment processing fees are taken off the top. That's the whole business model — no hidden cuts.

2. Your game stays yours

You own your game, your art, your code, and your name. Publishing on Playblin grants us only the license we need to do our job: host your files, display your cover art and description, and let players play or download your game. We don't claim ownership of anything you make.

3. Human review

Every game is reviewed by a human before it goes live — currently that's the founder himself. We check for malware, stolen assets, and broken builds. Most reviews happen within a few days. If your game is rejected, we'll tell you why, and you can fix it and resubmit.

4. Content rules

AI-made games are the point of this place — they're welcome here. Everything else follows one principle: don't harm people or steal from creators. Specifically, your game must not:

Horror, violence, and dark themes in a fictional game are fine. Hate isn't. When in doubt, ask before you upload.

5. Ads on game pages

Playblin may display ads on game pages. Ad revenue belongs to Playblin — it's part of how the lights stay on while publishing stays free. Your game's own in-game ads, if any, are yours.

6. Getting paid

Payouts go through Stripe to the account you connect in your dashboard. Payouts are issued monthly once your balance reaches $10. Need it sooner? If your balance is under the threshold, you can request an early payout and we'll send it manually. You're responsible for any taxes on your earnings — we're a marketplace, not your accountant.

7. Copyright (DMCA)

If you believe a game on Playblin infringes your copyright, send a notice to dmca@playblin.com with: (1) what you own, (2) where the infringing game is, and (3) your contact info. We'll take down games we're satisfied are infringing and tell the developer why. Developers who repeatedly upload infringing work lose their accounts.

8. Breaking the rules

We can remove a game or suspend an account that breaks these terms — usually with a warning first, immediately if it's malware or illegal. If you think we got it wrong, reply and a human will look again.

9. The fine print

Playblin is provided as-is. We work hard to keep it running but can't promise perfection. Our liability is limited to what you've paid us (which, if you're publishing free games, is nothing). We may update these terms as the platform grows — if the deal ever changes in a way that matters, we'll say so loudly, not bury it.

Not legal advice. These terms were written in plain language by a founder, not a lawyer. As Playblin grows, they'll get a professional review. If you're a lawyer reading this and smiling — hello, we may hire you someday.
